App privacy
LifeFramed OBP privacy policy.
How LifeFramed OBP handles selected photos, local calendars, Google Photos and trial/purchase information.

Developer and privacy contact
This policy applies specifically to LifeFramed OBP, operated by Odd Bear Productions Ltd (registered in Scotland, company number SC906219), trading as Odd Bear Productions. Contact for privacy enquiries: support@oddbear.co.uk.
Photo frame and local media
LifeFramed displays local photos and the selected Google Photos media that you choose to add to reels. It stores selected media references, local/imported copies, collections, favourites, hidden-item state, playback position and offline caches on your device. The app does not intentionally modify or delete originals in your external photo library or Google Photos when you remove items from a reel.
Google Photos
Google Photos access is optional. When you use that feature, Google handles account authorisation and media selection. LifeFramed retrieves the content you explicitly authorise for display or managed offline use. Google handles the account and retrieval services under its own privacy policy. Disconnecting Google access does not necessarily delete previously imported LifeFramed-managed copies; those must be managed separately through the app or by clearing its storage. If a selected video is imported for a Reel, the corresponding managed copy is treated as app data in the same way as selected photographs.
Calendars and other device capabilities
Optional Android read-calendar permission allows the app to access calendar events for the photo-frame alert/scheduling features. LifeFramed does not request write-calendar access; the app is not intended to create, edit or delete calendar events. Notifications, exact alarms and reboot events can support scheduled operation and restoration; internet/network state permissions support authorised cloud media access and licensing. Permissions can be reviewed in Android Settings.
On-device photo analysis
The optional Smart Fill/composition feature uses on-device image analysis, including a MediaPipe/BlazeFace face detector, to help position photographs. This image analysis is performed on-device; the feature does not identify people or create a stored face-identity database. This should not be confused with server-side facial recognition. It is used for automatic composition and not for identifying people.
Trial activation and purchase information
The planned seven-day trial starts only when you choose to activate it. When the licensing service is operational, LifeFramed sends an app-scoped pseudonymous installation/device identifier to a separately operated OBP licensing service, which stores a keyed hash of that identifier and original trial start/expiry dates to help prevent trial resets. This is pseudonymous, not anonymous, information. The service is designed not to store photos, calendar details, email or a raw Android ID. At the time of this notice, the service was not deployed when this draft was prepared.
For a lifetime unlock, Google Play handles payment and provides purchase state/tokens. When enabled, the OBP licensing service processes a purchase token to verify it with Google's Play Developer API and return a signed entitlement, cached on your device for offline operation. We do not ask for your payment-card number. Google Play may retain independent transaction and diagnostic records.
External processors and data sharing
Google processes authorised Google Photos content access and Play payments. If the licensing service is enabled, Cloudflare Workers and D1 will process the minimum device/licensing records on OBP's behalf. LifeFramed has no OBP advertising or analytics service and does not upload your selected photos or calendar events to OBP. Cloudflare may independently handle technical security and request information when the service is active. Exact operating arrangements will be reflected in this policy before the service launches.
Security, retention and deletion
LifeFramed stores app data and managed media locally, with Android application backup disabled. You may remove managed copies using supported in-app functions, clear app storage or uninstall; originals in other libraries are unaffected. Trial expiry does not by design delete your reels or media. The licensing backend is designed to store only a keyed installation hash and original trial dates. However, the production retention period, erasure procedure and handling of security logs are not yet finalised. The licensing service will not be described as operational until these controls are established. For a request regarding information controlled by OBP, contact support@oddbear.co.uk; we may need information you can voluntarily supply to locate an installation record. Google services and any exported/user-stored copies must be managed separately.
Contact, UK rights, children and updates
When you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, used to respond and retained while reasonably necessary subject to legal requirements. UK data-protection rights may include access, correction and erasure, subject to applicable exemptions. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. LifeFramed is a general-purpose photo frame; your selected photos may contain personal images of children or others. We update this notice when supported features and services change, including media and licensing functionality.
